This is a family that we intend to research in the future.

(Top).  John T. Ryan's parents were from County Clare.  It is possible that our Ryan family is related as Birdhill, Newport Parish, is next door to County Clare. However, the linkage to our family is "low".  Click to Enlarge.

Patrick Ryan, father of John T. Ryan of New Albin.

Patrick Ryan was Emmett Ryan's grandfather, and John T. Ryan was his uncle.  This family is most likely unrelated to our own, but until we find out for certain, we will continue to research this family line.

Sister Miriam Ryan, daughter of James Ryan and Johanna Gallagher of Allamakee (Union Prairie).  She was the grand-daughter of James & Catherine Ryan.

Our family is "not directly" related to this family (James & Catherine family line of Allamakee), however, we have linkages in a few unique ways:

(1) Margaret (Bat's older sister) married one of James & Catherine's sons, Patrick.  Both met each other in Quebec.  And

(2) Batt Ryan was a baptismal sponsor for one of their grandchildren.

Blanche Ryan, sister of Emmett Ryan, grand daughter of Patrick and Bridget Ryan, New Albin, Ia.

Most likely unrelated to our family.
