Tim and Laurel Smith.  Fortunately their weather was better than Barb's in Rapid City - they saw 98 degrees on the 4th.

The crowd assembles early to watch the fireworks over the lake.

Attached are pictures taken at last night's firework display at Pflugerville Lake.  The lake is within 2 miles of our home, so it was a quick trip.  You could either pay $5 for parking, or take the free bus.  There was at least an hour wait to get on the bus, so we paid for parking.

The City estimated 10 to 15 thousand people might attend the fireworks' display.  There were 44,000 people who came to watch.  It was a perfect night with temperatures in the low 80's punctuated by a cool lake breeze.  Fortunately we brought our own sodas.  The vendors ran out of both food and drink long before the fireworks began.

Pictures were taken by my cell phone.  It took 20 minutes for the four of us to get out of the parking lot and back home. (Our next door neighbor and her friend were with us.)
