According to Susan Eberle, this was a very suspicious death, but no investigation was done to determine how he died. His death occurred in 1916. See Smyth story above.

Mary was the wife of John Smyth of Big Hollow. After her husband died of in his wagon, she carried on the responsibilities of the farm.
James with his brother Patrick came to America in 1913, even though his obituary suggests that it was 1915. See Smyth Journey for more information. |
