Blacks, Kings, Batt Ryan families, Murrins and James Ryan families What do each of these families have in common? Each of these families connect to our family through Edward & Margaret Hill. There is quite a bit of information surrounding these families on this site, much of it due to Mary Rita Jacobsen's years of family research. Her scrapbook contains a lot of photos and links to sites with her research, so if you haven't been there in awhile, you might want to go back and see it again.
Little Kate Kennedy, grand-daughter of Edward & Margaret Hill. Her mother married Michael Smith in Kimball, and the Black and King families are descendents of these two individuals. |

El Destructo Bert (formerly known as Liberty), decided we no longer needed a phone connection and and dug up the outside phone line! He also chewed off the line attached to our house. He doesn't know any better as he is only 9 months old. However, he is also 60 pounds and quite strong. Thank God for cell phones, which helped us connect with Peggy and Jim. He looks innoncent; however, looks can be deceiving. One picture shows what he dug out of the ground. Laurel called me on her cell phone about this latest antic. I thought I could cure it with electrician's tape. Was I surprised. |

20 Years Married October 4, 2009 Twenty years ago Tim called me and said, "I got married today." He then proceeded to tell me that they had decided one morning to get married at noon by the justice of the peace. While not positive, I think they went back to work after getting married. As Tim mentioned, "On October 4 Laurel and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at the European Bistro. I had trout, Laurel had Polish meatballs. Peggy and Jim went there several days earlier, and we decided to go there too. Laurel called different restaurants asking if they served any dishes with black truffles. She found only one but it was downtown. This weekend was the ACL (Austin City Limits) Film Festival. With all the rain and traffic we decided not to travel downtown. Maybe next weekend. |
