Molly & Katie New Photos to add Here are some additional photographs that have not made its way into our website. The majority of pictures were taken at the Ryan Reunion in Chicago in the mid '90s. The photo on the top left was taken at Mark Ryan's farm in the 1990s (he is in the checkered shirt). This farm is the original homestead of Batt Ryan. In the future, we will test videos on this web site (this site is enabled to support); and if successful we will place videos of reunions and family gatherings. What's Next? We have a number of projects underway, which will be of interest to our family. We spent most of the past 18 months inventorying our family genealogy - collecting anything we could find about our Ryan and Smith families. We are now more focused on gathering stories and oral history about our family. Subsequently, there will be weeks where "new articles" are not placed on the site; but we believe this change will produce articles of greater interest to everyone. And as always, we look to any contributions anyone provides. These stories tell a lot about of our family. For example, the recent story regarding Daniel Ryan gave us some interesting clues about the Ryans immigrating to the Americas: the Ryan family immigrated to Quebec (not Boston as we initially thought) and lived in Quebec for a period of time waiting for other Ryan siblings to make their way to the Canada (they didn't come to America at the same time). At some point they made their way to Boston, and eventually made their way to Allamakee County, Iowa. ...by the way, there are a lot of stories to tell...
