Christmas Memories

Barb's Mail. - Christmas Past

Today Barb's package arrived by mail.  Inside the box I saw an old Holiday scene I created out of pine and balsa wood.  I probably created it about 1985 or 1986.  I completely forgot about it, but for several years I finished several wood projects.  I gave Terry a chess set and lighted church, but the chess set suffered the ravages of dog.  I made Laurel a chess set while dating.  Barb also sent an old photo frame showing Terry and I.  The old winter scene has a little damage, but held up better than I thought it would.
Barb's mail said mom put this set up each year during Christmas.

There was a short period of time when I created my own Christmas Cards instead of buying them.  I never worried if I sent the same card the previous year.  Sometimess I repeated a theme, but I would try making a unique card for everyone.

I sent the following card to Barb and Mike, date unknown.  Apparently, Barb kept at least two of my homemade cards.

Card One:

Card Two

Barb also copied a note mom sent her.  See below.

Of course who could forget the Nativity scene.  It was a classical scene; however, the original Nativity set included an angel which hung o4very the entrance.  I think the angel had a sign that read" In Excelcius Deo", "Gloria" or something like that.

Barb also sent a copy of a letter VJ wrote years ago.
