Speaking of mothers, below are the Catholic Church death records from
the Archdiocese in Wisconsin for Catherine Greenan Smyth Rooney and Mary
McPhillips. Both were the grandmothers to the Irish John Smith
children. The documents were recorded in Latin, and Father Laurer
translated the pages for us (click to enlarge).
