Goodwin
family. Owen and Bridget (Greenan) Smyth had a daughter named Margaret
who married Francis Goodwin in
Scotland. Francis was born in County Monaghan
too. Margaret and Francis had children,
one who was named Peter Goodwin. Peter Goodwin
married a woman by the name of Margaret and moved to Canada with their
family. The female children stayed in Canada, but
Peter Goodwin Jr. moved to Brownsville,
Texas.Peter
Goodwin, Jr. married a Perrin in Canada, and while uncertain how many
children this union produced, they had at least one son by the name of
Basil. Basil Joel Goodwin was born in Canada in 1935 and died in
Houston in 1996.
