Ryan Reunion

July 2-4, 2010

The City of Nebraska City is the home of J. Sterling Morton, who is the founder of Arbor Day.  The Lied Lodge is located on the Arbor Day farm and is adjacent to the historic Arbor Lodge, home of the Morton’s.  Nebraska City is located in the hilly, picturesque southeastern part of Nebraska and overlooks the Missouri River.

The extra feature of the Artisan Woods is VERY unique to the entire region and can be summarized through http://www.arbordayfarm.org/artisanwoods/

Finally, Nebraska City is very special, too - Visit http://www.nebraskacity.com/

Airport Information:  Most people will find flying into Omaha may be the best option.  Nebraska City is a quick 45 miles south of Omaha on Nebraska Hwy 75 or I-29.  We seem to have a good variety of carriers and times to and from Omaha.  Alternatives can be Lincoln, NE which is the airport for our State Capital.  Kansas City International airport is 127 miles south of Nebraska City, NE and could be another option to check into.

LODGING

IMPORTANT:  The cutoff date to get the group rate at the Lied Lodge & Conference Center is March 30. Hello Everyone,

Memorial Day is almost here and July 2 will be here before we know it.  Looks like 38 people are signed up for dinner on Saturday night.  I am sure that number will still grow if everyone returns their paperwork that has said would be coming.  I am not going to name any names of courseJ  The question of a vegan style meal has come up.  I am checking but I am certain the lodge will accommodate if more of you would like one to.  Sorry, I hadn’t even thought of that living in the home town of Omaha Steak!

There are also 8 people signed up for golf at the point.  I think my siblings and I may put together a Saturday put-put golf tourney, perhaps to start a new tradition.  I will have more details in Nebraska City.

I hope everyone has been able to find lodging that is coming.  Upon, looking over the reservations for my immediate family and siblings I think we have booked one too many rooms.  If anyone is still looking for a room I think I might be able to  help you out if you are looking for a room with two queen beds.  Give me a call or shoot me an email.
