Merida, Wendy & Barb with their pumpkins... Click to Enlarge. One of the entries. Click to Enlarge. Am guessing that this is Merida's "deformed 5 pound pumpkin." Click to Enlarge.
My vacation last week, and this is what I spent most of the time doing - building a chair rail up the stairs...lot of work. Won't do that again. (Terry). Click to Enlarge.

Halloween in Mitchell, SD, 1886. Click to View Full Halloween Article, The Great Pumpkin Contest has come and gone. As it stands right now, Wendy raised a couple deformed pumpkins weighing in at 3 and 4 pounds, respectively. I, however, raised the largest deformed pumkin which weighed in at a whopping 5 pounds. Ann's pumpkin vine finally produced a very small pumpkin, and Megan's vine is still only making pretty flowers (she moved it into her house).
Barb moved across town. Her new street address is 4011 Jolly Lane. The house is really nice. She and Mike will now be living on a golf course - how practical since neither plays the game. Her back yard is a marsh and hole #17's fareway. This has their nephew Ben very excited - he is looking forward to visiting Barb next summer. Thanksgiving will be at Barb's house this year Click to Enlarge.
