Our families lived and attended church services in Loreto, Wi. Below is an interesting observation of the Irish who live nearby. (Grace McDonald)
"Loreto was one of those agricultural communities of successful farmers who remained relatively shut off from the rest of the world clinging to their Irish traditions and customs." The evening's entertainment centered around visiting neighbors where they would tell humerous tales and ghost stories and sing songs -
- a simple custom but was one that was traditionally Irish.
