| Most of it is from dad's 1938 Yankton Greyhound yearbook. There is a scan of the front cover of the book below). One document is dad's 'Athletic Y Club of Yankton' certificate. I also added the yearbook page for this organization. He may have been involved with both track and basketball in his freshmen year. There was a picture in the yearbook of what appeared to be the junior varsity team, and this has been included. | ||
![]() Tim has one of dad's old book, A Shropshire Lad. He read it on dad's birthday and it was a quick read. As best as I can be told it is about a guy who may have been killed in war. It discusses his friends both male and female. With war and the rumour of war during the late thirties, I suspect this was a pretty popular book for its time. Professor Savage (above) added an inscription inside his book. He was the professor of history, rhetoric and political science. He was interested in debate and speech. |
