Kilvellane Parish is where Newport, Tipperary is   located.  It is also where we find Edward & Margaret Hill living in the 1840s, in addition to the John Boney family.

Southern Kilnarath is where we find the James & Ann Ryan family (Gurtnaskehy).  In this same townland are the Campbells, Ann's family.

While Kilnarath & Killoscully are historical town lands for our family, Kilcomenty is where James Ryan was born (c. 1808) to the Daniel Ryan family.

Kilnarath is divided into 2 sections, seperated by another parish, Killoscully.  This is the northern parish lands.

Killoscully is home of William McDonnell family (Margaret Hill's parents).  Edward Hill also originated from this civil parish.  Ann Ryan's parents (Cambell/Casey) were married in Doonane.

Abington along with Newport parish is considered to be the traditional homeland for the Ryans.
