FIRST GENERATION
| Dennis Ryan was born in County Tipperary near Newport. His farm was adjacent to his parents farm, and members of his farmed there until his death in 1907. His farm was eventually sold to pay for medical bills resulting from his stay in a Dubuque hospital. |
| Mary Ann Hines Ryan
married into the Ryan family in Allamakee County, Iowa. We
have written about this family several times in the past.
This is the first time we have assembled the obituaries, which
tells us the migration this family made since Dennis's death in
1907. The Hines family was a neighboring family in Union Prairie township to the Dennis Ryan and James Ryan families. Later we saw Clara Hines, a relative to Mary Ann Hines, living next to Daniel Ryan in Oklahoma. SECOND GENERATION
Margaret Collins Ryan was the wife of Roy (Bartholomew) Ryan. Roy was born in 1893 and would have been our grandfather Frank Ryan's first cousin. She died in 1917.

THIRD GENERATION
Second cousin to the Batt Ryan grandchildren. Her death occurred in 2000, and she lived most of her adult life in Coon Rapids, Michigan.
Born 1922. She was the third child of Margaret Collins Ryan and Roy Ryan, and would have been a second cousin to our mother, Helen Ruth Ryan Smith. She died in 1996.
